TAKE FIVE DANCE: NEW SHOWCASE COVID-19 POLICY
Dear Take Five Dance Families,
Due to the recent announcement from the City of Surprise, everyone occupying a Dysart facility must abide by the NEW COVID-19 requirements. All staff, teachers, dancers and audience members must wear a mask inside Luke Elementary School at all times. Therefore, all dancers must wear a mask while performing.
If you choose to not participate in the Showcase because of this new mandate, please email our Office at email@example.com by Monday, June 22nd at noon. Our teachers need time to make adjustments to choreography and staging.
While safety remains our priority, we are happy that we are still able to use Luke Elementary to showcase our dancers and all of their hard work. Thank you for your cooperation during these unprecedented times.
We are excited to offer this FREE performing opportunity to showcase all of our students’ hard work and dedication during this challenging time. This showcase is our recital "re-imagined".
A maximum of 50 individuals are allowed in the building at a time. That includes the dancers, audience, and studio staff. This is a strict Dysart Unified School District policy.
Each dancer will be allowed two audience guests at a time. Two seats will be placed together and separated, at a safe distance, from the other paired seats. This is a strict policy. No exceptions. There is no charge for the audience to attend.
Each routine will perform on the stage. After they perform, the dancers and audience will leave the cafeteria and the next routine/dancers will perform with a new audience.
The showcase event will be live streamed for additional family members and friends to enjoy. Audience members will be able to record or video conference as well.
The Peter Pan Ballet production will not be performed in its entirety. Each routine will be performed individually. A soloist may accompany the routine that is a part of the storyline.
Performing Groups and Performance Company routines that have already performed and/or competed will not perform at the showcase.
RSVPs were due June 5th. Everything has already been finalized. Thank you!
All dance students have the opportunity to perform on stage in our annual dance production held in June each year. Information packets are available in early October and include costume prices, show dates, class pictures and other important details. Due to the many hectic deadlines we endure in the Spring with regards to costume arrivals, costume distribution, class & individual picture days, picture purchasing day, program book layout, proofing, editing and printing we collect costume money in November. This will enable us to order our costumes before the thousands of dance studios across the country and Canada and help with our other deadlines.

Before the June recital, we designate a week to conduct mandatory parent meetings during dance classes. Important information is given out and discussed.
